Well, I've been a bad stumbler... busy, busy, busy bouncing around the globe. And not done yet: Florida, here I come! Upstate NY can keep its mountains of snow. One of the saddest, most moving, uplifting, and awe-inspiring documentaries I've seen. The film follows the lives of the Refugee All Stars, a group of friends displaced by war in their country who form a band to instill a sense of hope for themselves and all refugees. Check local PBS schedules and take the time to watch it. Afterward, read the film update on PBS.org. I guarantee you'll be changed.

Jun 24, 2007 8:29pm: The picture below started out as a very underexposed photograph I took of some peonies in a vase in my house. A few clicks of the mouse later... I bet the master painters of the past are cursing computer technology from their graves.
